Rain Garden | WWT

Working with Tori Flower and the team at WWT, I helped transform the London Wetland Centre’s Rain Garden into a playful, interactive space, exploring how we can adapt our towns and cities to a changing climate.

Through graphics and hands-on elements, visitors can discover how rain gardens work, why they matter and what they can do to make a difference at home.

From a talking water butt voiced by wildlife broadcaster David Lindo to a submerged London phone box, a giant participatory infographic and colourful murals, the interpretation combines fun, creativity and practical ideas to bring the science to life.

“At WWT we like working with Tori & Tom as they fit comfortably into our way of working. In such a small project team it is possible to come up with ideas quickly and then let T&T use their creative skills to develop these into fully formed designs.  We have also found the network of collaborators who T&T brought into the project invaluable for delivering work on the ground - from fabricating and installing sculpture to decoration, particularly some lovely mural artworks.”
